Shilpi was introduced to VOLindia in 2008, as a volunteer in the summer programme. She was a part of the child rights project. Shilpi came from a volunteering background wherein she had volunteered for a British Council project called Beyond Borders. She is also trained to take workshops on reproductive and sexual health education and is conducting workshops with Delhi schools. She is a sociology student, pusuing her masters from Delhi School of Economics.
